Windy Hill Development named Chris Tysdal, its new director of land. Tysdal will be responsible for strategic land acquisitions across the greater Houston area in his new role.

“The Windy Hill team is thrilled to welcome Chris Tysdal as our director of land,” Randy Hall, CEO of Windy Hill Development, said in a press release. “As Houston’s demand for single-family homes continues to surge, our homebuilder partners are eager to strengthen their lot positions. Chris’s expertise in the San Antonio, Dallas and Fort Worth markets will be instrumental in developing affordable, quality communities that meet the growing needs of Houston families.”

Tysdal previously worked with Forestar Development Group. Prior to that, he was the acquisitions manager for Lennar Homes in Fort Worth. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas A&M University and graduated from the school’s Master of Real Estate program.

“This opportunity allows me to contribute directly to [Windy Hill’s] growth strategy while working alongside an exceptional team,” said Tysdal. “I look forward to helping build communities that meet the growing demands of the Houston market while adding meaningful value to our homebuilder partners and the organization as a whole.”
